830 Publishing writing camp Berlin

Another edition of our 830 Publishing writing camp is in the books — and once again, it happened in Berlin. These camps have found their home there: a city that matches the pace of the sessions, with artists, songwriters and producers locked in rooms and writing for the week.

June made it extra memorable. We landed right in the middle of a heatwave, and the city was boiling. The rooms were hot, the days were long, and somehow that only pushed the sessions further. Sweat, coffee, melodies — the usual camp recipe, just turned up a few degrees.

Out of that week came two cuts for Margaret, one of Poland’s biggest artists. “Mogłeś tu być” and “Headspace” both landed on her new EP VOICE, released this August. A proud moment for the camp, and a clear reminder of why we keep coming back to Berlin: write the songs, then watch them leave the room.
