Bas Wissink Co-Writes & Produces Croatia’s Eurovision Entry
We’re excited to share that "Poison Cake", performed by Marko Bošnjak, has won DORA 2025, Croatia’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. The track was co-written and produced by our own Bas Wissink, making this a big moment in his growing international career.
Dark Pop with a Twist
The song stood out with its dark pop sound and fairy tale-inspired vibe. Bas led the production, bringing a haunting yet catchy feel to the track. It’s a great example of how his style connects across borders.
The writing team included Emma Gale, Ben Pyne, Marko Bošnjak, and Bas Wissink. Together, they created something that struck a chord with both the jury and the public—not just in Croatia, but internationally too.
A Big Win at DORA
This year’s DORA was a tough competition, with 24 entries cut down to 16 finalists. "Poison Cake" took the top spot with 130 points—83 from the jury and 47 from the public vote.
A Proud Moment
We’re incredibly proud of Bas and the whole team behind this song. Wins like this show what’s possible when talented people from different countries come together. It also shows just how far Dutch music production can reach.
As "Poison Cake" heads to Eurovision 2025 in Basel, we’ll be cheering it on—and sharing more updates along the way.
